Our Bloodmobile
Bloodmobiles allow us to reach a donor base that may not donate otherwise, and have the highest percentage of new blood donors. It is our need to replace our 2002 Bluebird bus with a new bloodmobile. Our 2002 Bluebird bus has been a workhorse, and has been on the road for over 17 years including more than 500 trips over Last Chance Grade.
How you can help
A bloodmobile is a large capital expense, the investment represents NCCBB’s first public fundraising appeal in our nearly seventy year history. The expenditure will include funds from our reserves, grants and contributions from business partners and the community.

This project provides reliability for blood collections in Humboldt and Del Norte counties.Countless patients in Humboldt and Del Norte counties rely on us to keep blood on the shelves. Greater than than two-thirds of donations take place on a bloodmobile, proving the necessity of our bloodmobiles. We are pursuing a combination of grant funding, community donations, and use of our savings to purchase this bloodmobile.
