​Clinical Laboratory Scientist

This is a full time, fully benefitted position. Benefits include health, dental, vision and life insurance, retirement plans, and a generous PTO and Sick Leave offering. The starting wage range for this position is $55 - $60 per hour. Hiring and Relocation Bonus potential. The right candidate for this role is quality focused, has great leadership and communication skills and fine attention to detail. This person will also enjoy a collaborative and busy environment with numerous opportunities for projects and quality improvement.
 
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for activities related to processing, testing, storage, transportation, and other handling of blood and blood products. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs reference immunohematological testing and participates in training, validation, implementation of new procedures, and compliance with regulatory and standard-setting agencies. This position requires on-call duties which is shared among the clinical licensed staff.
 
Experience, Education and Licensure:
· Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in science, medical technology/medical laboratory science or a related field.
· Valid current CA license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
· Will consider a motivated CLS with at least one year of experience.
· Prefer concentration of work in blood bank / transfusion services.

DONOR OUTREACH SPECIALIST

These three-quarter-time (30 hours, benefited) and part-time (20 hours) positions offer a competitive wage range of $17.00 - $23.00 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with retirement plans and generous PTO.

Overview of Duties:
  • Enhance blood donation efforts through effective communication and marketing.
  • Make calls for in-house blood donation drives.
  • Update scripts for blast calls and text messaging campaigns.
  • Address and respond to donor inquiries.
  • Reach out to first-time donors to encourage participation
  • Create promotional materials to boost awareness and engagement.
  • Manage the distribution and tracking of first-time donor cards.
  • Assist with logistics for blood drives, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Engage with the community through social media platforms to promote donor engagement and outreach initiatives.
Job Requirements:
  • Maintain a clean driving record and have a valid California license and be insurable on NCCBB auto policies.
  • On-the-job training is provided.
  • Availability Monday-Friday.
