Performs donor registration and screening, taking vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
Draws blood from donors.
Works in the Blood Center and on mobile blood drives throughout Humboldt and Del Norte Counties.
Willingness to drive bloodmobiles considered a plus.
Maintains a professional image and represents the Blood Bank appropriately.
Consistently displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm every day, fostering friendly, professional relationships with donors and coworkers.
Ensures donor and patient safety at all times.
Job Requirements:
Must maintain a clean driving record and have a valid California driver license.
Must maintain current CPR certification (will be provided on-the-job).
On-the-job training is provided.
Flexibility in work schedule required.

Overview of Duties: The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the blood bank and clerical support for a variety of activities. This role includes daily tasks such as answer telephones, respond to questions, and refer incoming calls to the appropriate people/departments, process and distribute incoming mail, assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, assist with onboarding, payroll and time keeping tasks, provide administrative support globally at NCCBB. Like the kitchen is the heart of the home, the Administrative Assistant is the hub that ties all things NCCBB together. LABORATORY ASSISTANT
The Northern California Community Blood Bank has an immediate opening for a full-time Laboratory Assistant in an organization with a stable, happy working environment, an inspiring mission, and vibrant community relationship. Wage range: $18.00-$24.00 per hour commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision and life insurance. Hours: Full time position with some weekend, after-hours, and overnight on-call duties. Variable hours with consistent training hours at start.
Overview of Duties:
Processes, packs, and ships blood products.
Delivers blood products to area hospitals.
Maintains meticulous and accurate records.
Operates precise equipment in a clean laboratory environment.
Follows disinfection, decontamination, and bloodborne pathogen protection procedures.
Maintains a professional image and represents the Blood Bank appropriately.
