DONOR CARE SPECIALIST Come join the team at The Northern California Community Blood Bank! We have an immediate opening for a Donor Care Specialist. Wage range is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour with opportunities for Premium Pay. Benefits may include health, dental, vision and life insurance. Total rewards include retirement plans and generous PTO offering. Overview of Duties: Performs donor registration and screening, taking vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Draws blood from donors. Works in the Blood Center and on mobile blood drives throughout Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. Willingness to drive bloodmobiles considered a plus. Maintains a professional image and represents the Blood Bank appropriately. Consistently displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm every day, fostering friendly, professional relationships with donors and coworkers. Ensures donor and patient safety at all times. Job Requirements: Must maintain a clean driving record and have a valid California drivers license. Must maintain current CPR certification (will be provided on-the-job). Welcome Center Assistant The Northern California Community Blood Bank has an immediate part-time opening for a Welcome Center Assistant. Starting wage is $16.50 per hour. Estimated weekly hours between 10-20 hours. The Welcome Center Assistant ensures that Welcome Center operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include greeting donors and visitors to the Northern California Community Blood Bank (NCCBB), registering donors, and providing information to donors, visitors, and the general public. This position includes other duties as needed. The Welcome Center Assistant will provide additional back-up duties supporting the Welcome Center Coordinator, the Donor Services Department, and NCCBB.
Hours: Monday through Friday/Saturday, varied within Donor Room hours. This is a part-time position with potentially flexible hours during Donor Center hours. Part-time positions are not benefitted.
Job Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Exude a non-judgmental, warm and friendly demeanor. Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy. Be able to assess situations quickly and confidently. Must make good judgments and appropriate decisions. Demonstrate willingness to abide by NCCBB policy and support the mission of the organization.
